This video has been requested countless times. And here it is!
It’s a full walkthrough of my entire Second Brain based on MacOS and the Apple ecosystem. I also walk you through my own definition of a Second Brain and what it is supposed to do. Lastly, I’ll also explain why I’m moving away from my Apple based Second Brain.
A second brain is a personalized, interconnected system of digital tools and methods designed to externalize cognitive processes and information management. It encompasses note-taking, task and time management, communication handling, and content curation.
The main goal of a second brain is to offload these tasks to a system that can be trusted, which allows the user to have an empty mind at all times which can be utilized for deep thinking, creation and problem solving.

Rebuilding my Second Brainz
As most of you will know, I’m now in the process of moving back to daily driving Arch Linux. This means I’ll need to find alternatives to a few of the programs I’m using now, most notably the Apple Mail and Reminders.
I’m making good progress on my build: in fact, I’m writing this newsletter in Qutebrowser on my freshly built Arch Linux Desktop. I’ve recorded the entire process and I will be releasing the series in this newsletter. If you haven’t subscribed already, this is a good time to do so. It’s free.
And if you’re looking for a place to connect with fellow notetakers, Linux enthusisasts, CLI ninjas and Kubernetes experts, check out my private community.
Wishing you a great week. May all beings be happy and well,
Mischa
